The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, this morning attended the Mass celebrated in the church of Santo Domingo, at the request of the Captaincy General of the Navy in Cartagena, in memory of the four Spanish soldiers killed in Haiti in the development humanitarian mission that the Government of Spain performs in that country.

González Tovar has had a few words of remembrance of the four Spanish compatriots and said that "the pain we feel after their loss can not dampen the pride in the mission they have accomplished, as Luis, Francisco, Manuel and Eusebius lived as heroes and as heroes died. "

He added that "have the admiration and respect for Spanish society, for their work in Haiti have brought life to many children, have thousands of people vaccinated against diseases that cause death in Haiti, have removed the debris from rehabilitated roads and buildings destroyed. "

The Government delegate pointed out that the whole of Spain has turned to alleviate the tragedy in Haiti moving half thousand Spanish soldiers who have been at the forefront, working every day, 24 hours.

Our country has also contributed with 300 civilian aid and health, 27 aircraft, 200 tons of humanitarian aid and more than 100 million euros in aid.
