68 establishments obtain certificates for their commitment to quality tourism (14/04/2010)

This morning it has awarded diplomas to 68 establishments in the municipality for its commitment to quality tourism in Cartagena.

Among the awarded will find shops, tourist centers, hotels, travel agencies, guides, restaurants and taxis, among others.

The diploma ceremony has taken place in the hall of the Teatro Romano de Cartagena and has received assistance, that have made the delivery thereof, the Director General of Tourism, Marina García and Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero.

At the end of the event, Smith has also been awarded with a diploma, by the tourist office of the Puertas de San José.

The council has stated that the City Council and administration have to be the example to follow.

That is why all places of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas have passed the Quality Certification.

In addition, the council has stressed that all sectors that affect tourists have improved their services to customers.

COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM OF QUALITY TOURISM

Distinguished companies, integrated all in the draft Quality System Tourist destination (Sicted) have been recognized by the optimal implementation of quality standards in all its services and to achieve a level of reliability and accuracy over other companies the same fate.

Currently, the Region of Murcia has 8 SICTED projects in operation, respectively, include Aguilas, Cartagena, Lorca, Mar Menor, Northwest, Sierra Espuña, Valle de Ricote and Murcia.

In total, the whole of the Autonomous Region there are 299 companies with the brand Tourist Quality Commitment
