The new technologies succeed in Easter (06/04/2010)

One year the city of Cartagena, in collaboration with other entities like local television station TELECARTAGENA cable, has obtained an absolute success with regard to the use of new technologies and the Internet to spread the Easter processions.

The transmission and retransmission of pasionalesentre parades on Good Friday and Easter Sunday has reached a record 50,889 users, which is to double over the 20,000 recorded last year.

HOLY WEEK A SUCCESS IN THE MOBILE

A new service launched this Easter, the download of the processions, schedules, itineraries and information of interest in mobile phones, has also had a particular impact.

In total there have been 2,512 downloads.

The other application downloads, 708, shipments were made through SMS messages.

The experience has been successful, given the volume of users and their versatility, since it allows tourists and visitors to access all relevant information of the processions through their mobile phones at no cost to them, besides getting the City a significant savings in booklets.
