La Plaza de la Marina, one of the most unique and iconic in the neighborhood of "fishermen", located next to the Santiago Apostol Church of Santa Lucia is continuously occupied by members from private oblivious to the nature of such beautiful gazebo which limit the passage of numerous bystanders and prevent traffic normalized by a building in the public domain.
Cartagena UPyD has received several complaints from neighborhood residents about the continuing violation of the use of public space in which predominates the private use and considers that the artificial elements located there have nothing to do with architectural and natural elements ready for use and enjoyment of all citizens.
UPyD requests the City of Cartagena to ensure the protection of the integrity of public space and its fate to common usage, which should prevail over individual interests.
