The City shall regulate the administrative processes through the Internet (26/02/2010)

The Local Government Committee will meet on Monday, March 1, under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro.

The meeting will be held after half past nine in the council room of the Town Hall.

Among the various issues that comprise the agenda is the proposal of the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for New Technologies, Agustín Guillén, on the draft ordinance eGovernment.

According to Guillen explained his objective is to define the use of electronic media in the field of municipal administration for better and more efficient administration, under the principles of transparency, proximity and service to citizens.

In this sense, the ordinance is to regulate the electronic processing of administrative procedures municipal and public access municipal public services through internet.

The vice mayor has assured that the proper use of eGovernment in the City will reduce the administrative burden and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of procedures, reducing time and costs, and inure to the citizens in less processing time, more information and more confidence, and avoid unnecessary travel.
