The Spanish Ballet of Murcia Cartagena presents Daughters of the Dawn (25/02/2010)

Daughters Dance Alba arrives on Friday February 26 at 21:30 pm at Nuevo Teatro Circo in the hands of the Spanish Ballet of Murcia.

The first choreography by Javier Latorre story, set in 1989 for his company Ziryab Dance, Daughters of the Dawn, and inspired by the work of García Lorca, La casa de Bernarda Alba, was a success.

After almost twenty years the Spanish Ballet of Murcia, under the direction of Carmen and Matilde Rubio Rubio, has recovered this work, which inspired Lorca is a reference to reflect, in a patriarchal society's oppressive and hypocritical characters and female personalities and their relationship dream marked the absence of man.

Las Hijas del Alba is a choreography inspired by the work of Federico García Lorca, La casa de Bernarda Alba.

Inspired and not based, as neither the characters nor the story correspond to the original.

Inspired, because what is intended to reflect the atmosphere oppressive and repressive, stifling air that surrounds a house inhabited by women in mourning, at a time when the prevailing sexist and hypocritical society.

Four women with four distinct personality, repression, rebellion, innocence and shyness, and four types of relationships with men, or rather, the absence of man.

The presence of man, and imaginary dream takes shape in the role of desire, a character who lives only in the subconscious of women and that triggers all sorts of emotions in them, from lust to violence to fear and perplexity.

The price of tickets for the ballet is between 15 and 10 euros.
