14 projects Entrepreneurship Program 2009 in Cartagena finalize the Business Plan (23/02/2010)

The total investment plans of the projects amounts to EUR 629,960 and the estimate of direct job creation will be 48 jobs

Entrepreneurship Program 2009, developed by the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (coeca) with support from the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research in the Region of Murcia Emprendemos Plan, has completed 14 projects with the business plan, seven of which have become businesses and the rest will follow in the next six months.

The total investment plans of the projects amounts to 629,960 euros, 52 percent more than last year.

The estimated direct employment is 48 jobs, representing an increase of 14 percent from the 2008 edition, and it is expected that the billing for the first year is around 2,103,963 euros.

Info director, Juan José Beltrán, accompanied by Vice coeca, Javier Gómez Vizcaino, presided over the awarding of diplomas to the participants in the Entrepreneurship Program and noted that "this program is not limited to convey to the audience about mere knowledge or management techniques, but these actions become drivers of entrepreneurial culture, improving business skills and developing viable business plans. "

Projects that have been involved in entrepreneurship programs of coeca over its 16 years of life have created an initial investment of around 8,300,000 euros and employed around 300 workers.

Also, note that more than 250 projects have completed the program with the completion of the business plan on the business idea which they started, and about 90 have materialized the concept of business in a real company.

Regarding the profile of the entrepreneur, the highest percentage of university graduates, with about 71 percent of total entrepreneurs, undertake self-employment initiative, which confirms that the academic acts as an important factor in decision venturing as an entrepreneur.
