The UPCT and unions agree for the first time the constitution of the negotiating table (16/02/2010)

UPCT and trade unions CCOO, CSI-CSIF, SIME and FETE-UGT agreed today for the first time the constitution of the negotiation table for all university employees.

At the same shall be represented most representative trade unions of workers, in addition to their own university managers.

The signing ceremony was attended by the president, Félix Faure, manager, Esther Natividad Dulce, and representatives of trade unions with a presence in the university.

In particular, the negotiation table will consist of twenty people, ten of them designated by the university and ten by the most representative trade union organizations.

CCOO, CSI-CSIF will have three representatives, while FETE-UGT SIME and have two.

Among the substances that can treat the negotiation table included the implementation of the increases in the salaries set by the budget laws of the State and the autonomous region, the determination and implementation of additional remuneration of officials, the rules general criteria set for access and provision of jobs, in addition to issues related to prevention of occupational risks, work schedule, and related union activity and workers' rights.

Félix Faure Rector noted that "UPCT can be proud to present a staff of servants in the vast majority linked by relations of stable and quality employment, either as civil servants, or as permanent staff."

Add that with the signing of this agreement "complies with the provisions of the Statutes of the University and the Civil Service Basic Statute."

Currently, the teaching staff of the UPCT is 560 teachers, of whom 80% are doctors, while the administrative staffing and services is nearly four hundred people.

For his part, Secretary General of the UPCT, José Luján, notes that "the negotiation table is an important body representing the workers to improve working conditions for all university employees. It will address issues relating to teachers and administrative personnel and services UPCT in order to improve both the working conditions of workers, including public service as college loans. "
