Quique Gonzalez presented in the Auditorium of the Daiquiri Blues (10/02/2010)

On 27 October last year Daiquiri Blues was published, the new album Quique González.

The singer from Madrid is a reference, an artist who is observed with attention and respect.

His records are expected to security that have songs that nailed the odd knife directly into the hearts of his fans.

Quique Gonzalez will be tomorrow, Thursday, February 11 at the Auditorium of Murcia in the cycle Other Music.

The concert at 21:30 pm in Room Narciso Yepes.

Tickets cost 21 Euros.

In the past 11 years, Quique González has released seven albums impeccable, but Daiquiri Blues is the best.

The spirit, the soul, the depth of the 13 songs on the album had never met with so much weight in a play.

Quique Gonzalez has always been a great composer, but the consistency and the inspiration of Daiquiri Blues means a degree of artistic maturity level.

In this magnificent work in the composition and the interpretation is added to a production that involves crafted songs in a warm atmosphere, excited, none.

Quique González Daiquiri Blues recorded in Nashville, with Brad Jones as a producer and musicians who are the best of the best of his ability to play what is just, necessary for each subject, indispensable for the songs touch the fiber.

Great songs, great production, great musicians.

Great album.

"Daiquiri Blues has the idea of a little paradise in hell and a little bit of hell in paradise.

I like those images found.

Daiquiri is paradise, but if it together with blues and it is less, "says Quique Gonzalez in length documentary directed and superbly photographed by Fernando Macaya that accompanies the album and is required viewing to fully understand the scope of Daiquiri Blues.

"I was thinking how to make the record and who, seeing some potential but not talking to anybody," he continues Quique.

"Brad Jones I fell from the sky.

It is one of my favorite producers, has a studio in Nashville ...

The day I met him in Madrid I had very clear.

I had the opportunity to work with him and know him not only as a musician and producer, as a human being is a great guy. "

Quique González connection with Brad Jones is not one direction.

"I really liked the demos and lyrics.

I could see that it is a good singer and also a good lyricist.

A pure music, simple and beautiful, leaving the bill is big, "says Brad Jones.

"It's very special to me.

He sang beautifully, put all the feeling in the songs. "

Nashville ("It's the world capital of the songs. There is an absolute respect for the song, so many good musicians ...", says Quique), the two began working with the idea of recording most of the album with musicians playing together in the studio.

"They had not even heard the songs before recording," says Quique González.

"I was surprised, I asked Brad and he told me something very interesting.

He likes to hear from the musicians first impression.

The first time you do play a song from the heart.

The following are more thoughtful, perhaps better played, more perfect, but with less soul.

And with this premise we all sessions with the band.

And it worked. "

In the film, Brad Jones talks about the musicians who played at Daiquiri Blues.

Al Perkins ("Touch of heart. In Nashville there are thousands of musicians who play the pedal steel, but Al may be the one with more soul. Never show you are interested in how many notes he can play, just play who you know will break your heart . And he does it every time. It is a genius "), Will Kimbrough (" On this album the old-fashioned touches, sounds like old guitarist in the right direction. I would drive more timeless. Music to my grandfather and for my son "), the violinist Chris Carmichael (" I moved the songs. Chris is a sensitive person and when I have the disc playing in just his music. also your heart and your ideas "), Pat Buchanan (" Great guitarist. You can play anything beautifully "), guitarist Doug Lancio (" It has the more modern sound. It is not earth, is more in heaven "), drummer Ken Coomer (Quique I would be happy. I had heard Wilco y. .."), with the pianist and organist Tyson Rogers ("It's like stepping into a Zen garden where there is only a single tree but perfect ")...

The involvement and affection with which these musicians great and experienced in a thousand battles have hosted lyrics Quique Gonzalez has actively influenced the character of Daiquiri Blues from the first song, the album's title.

Blues Daiquiri's new in Quique González and the first launch of Last Tour Records, a label created by Last Tour International and Sony Music Spain.
