Green Light contract to manage the CAI de La Vaguada (29/01/2010)

Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has given the green light to call for open competition tender for the provision of socio-educational services Child Care (ISC) in the valley with the approval of the specification, so the center can be in place next year.

Companies interested in taking over this service, which will serve a hundred children between 0 and 4 years, must submit a curriculum and staffing and equipping of the Centre, upon compliance with the deadlines for publication in the BORM, technical reports, award and implementation, will be operational around June.

The CAI of the trough is in addition to those already working in the Aljorra and the Albujón, and others will be launched shortly as La Palma and Pozo Estrecho.

Another issue on the agenda of the Governing Board has focused on the adoption of a new extension of the Collaboration Agreement between the City and the Association of Unemployed People over 40 years of Cartagena, which will mean that the nine social partners currently used in their work to continue monitoring the streets and gardens and street furniture, and support in schools by facilitating the passage of pedestrians in the times of entry and exit of themselves.

Finally, the Governing Board has determined the adoption of a cooperation agreement with the University of Alicante to develop a research project on the production and application of a formulation with fungi to kill pests that attack the red palm weevil palm the public gardens of Cartagena.

Remember that this beetle infestations have been forced to cut over 1,000 palm in the last three years in the municipality.
