The Technical University of Cartagena held on Thursday, January 28, the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas with an academic who first secelebrará in the auditorium of the former CIM.
This building, which houses the Faculty of Business and other university buildings, was opened on 17 November.
The event will begin at 12.00 with the transfer of the academic procession to the hall of the Faculty.
Then proceed to read the lecture this year will be borne by the Professor of Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Vice Chancellor for Faculty and Teaching, Antonio Vigueras Campuzano.
The lecture is entitled "Mathematics and mathematicians of Celestial Mechanics: From Newton to Poincaré."
Subsequently awarded first prizes to teachers who have distinguished themselves by their involvement in the implementation in UPCT the European Higher Education Area and the special prize limit, master's and doctorate.
The graduation ceremony will continue with the inauguration of new doctors of the University and the medal for services to the educational institution.
The celebration of St. Thomas concludes with the intervention of the president of the UPCT, Felix Faure.
