18 firefighter candidates face four months of training (18/01/2010)

Today has started the last phase of opposition to the incorporation of 15 firefighters at the Fire Fighting Service, Rescue (SEIS) of the City of Cartagena.

Councilman Javier Herrero, accompanied by the Director General of Security, Carlos Nieto, the head of the service, Francisco Gómez Avalos, along with several members of the Tribunal, have initiated the Training Course for the 18 firefighters who have to overcome still four months training, with approximately 600 hours of theory and practice in matters as diverse as Social Sciences, Personal Protection, First Aid, various tools, Buildings and Structures, Chemical Risk Truck Driving and of course, intervene in all incidents in which your day, it could develop its work on a daily basis if they exceed the training.

This is the last phase of selection to SIX template, and of the 18 candidates who have commenced training, only 15 of them can overcome, so that discipline and study of all subjects and practical exercises which will be discussed, will determine who will eventually be incorporated.

This reinforcement, which will increase the workforce of the SEIS, is considered essential by the director general, who has said, that this effort of the City in increasing staff, providing the actual service of the SEIS are absolutely guaranteed despite could cause casualties or prolonged absences of time, which will undoubtedly be easier to plan services and more time to plan summer services, which are undoubtedly the most problems generated in the SEIS.
