The poet José María Zonta Arias Costa Rica wins Oliver Belmas (26/11/2009)

José María Zonta Arias of Costa Rica, with the book tituladoLa house condescension, has been the winner of the XXIV edition of the international poetry prize Antonio Oliver Belmar, which annually organizes the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Autonomous Region University of Murcia and the People of the City of Cartagena.

His work has been seleccianada from 160 works submitted to this contest Castilian provinientes in different countries.

A trial jury whose decision has been made public this afternoon, this is an extraordinary collection of poems, original and fresh.

An entertaining book that reads very easily, simple and precise writing at a time with great mastery of the image.

As in previous editions of the jury for this prestigious award has been made by Blanca Andreu, Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Salvador García Jiménez, Vicente Gallego and Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, acting as secretary to the director of the People's University, Miguel Navarro Salinas.

Before reading the ruling in the Palace Hall of Cartagena, the work presented last year's winner Rock of mackerel of Tomás Hernández Molina, provided by Luis Alberto de Cuenca.

The award is endowed with 12,000 euros and publication of the work.

JOSE MARIA ARIAS ZONTA

José María Zonta was born on the plains of Perez Zeledon on October 21, 1961.

He started writing since he was 14 years.

He graduated in law from the University of Costa Rica and was a student of journalism at the same institution.

Among its major awards include: two National Poetry Prize, one in 1997 with his work in November and another three in 1998 with the Lobos play in the breeze, the Building Youth Poetry Award, 1985, the Latin American Prize for Poetry Foundation Givre, that is delivered in Argentina, Poetry Prize XXVII Irun City, the International Poetry Prize Gabriel Celaya, the Latin American Prize for Poetry Education, Poetry Award from the University of Costa Rica, among others.
