From UPyD want to show our concern for the economic cut the Regional Government has made in public universities in the 2009 budget.
If this had been done so with the budget this year, we believe that the expectations of funding for public universities for 2010, will go through the same course
Specifically for the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has decided to cut the 2009 budget in the context of general measures of adjustment recently approved by the Governing Council in an amount of 259,000 euros.
To UPyD, maintaining funding for public universities is a fundamental element to bet strongly for a real change in the production model so as to increase the medium term, issues so important to our economy and competitiveness is the best investment is investment in education.
In this regard, we request the Regional Government firmly committed to keep university education in our region and our city adequate funding, we hope that po heading to universities suffer no cuts in the Budget Regional 2,010.
