5,000 students participate in the campaign grows Security (03/11/2009)

Students in grades 5 and 6 of primary schools in the municipality of Cartagena participate in the new edition of the campaign grows in security, organized by the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena, through the Institute of Employment Security in the Region Murcia.

The aim of this campaign is to instill the 5,000 students from 68 primary schools in the county, concepts in prevention of occupational hazards, said the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, in the presentation of the campaign, which has been accompanied by the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, Thomas Fuentes, and the director of the company SICO, Juan Carlos Simon.

The topics covered are related to the risks that can happen to the school, such as burns, falls, electrical hazards, contact with toxic chemicals, cuts in others.

Tomás Pérez Director stressed that this activity of dissemination of prevention, we hope that from the smaller ages, know the habits of safe and healthy, and know how to act in schools, parks, even in their homes.

He added that this work is performed on the three key areas of socialization of children: school, family and neighborhood.
