No general agreement on the negotiating table with the City Council Personnel Board (23/10/2009)

The Councillor for Finance and Personnel, Jose Cabezas, has raised this morning the negotiation table in which it was to adjust the remuneration arrangements of the crisis situation on the ground that the union demands are not defensible.

In the first session of the General Trading Bureau on 21 October, the Corporation noted that the current economic difficulties forced saving measures.

Cabezos announced that there will be no more overtime than structural, but would remain RED agreements (Special Dedication Scheme) Police, Fire and Brigades, but addressing the needs of the latter would create a Multifunctional Brigade will work in morning and afternoon (this point was already foreseen in the existing Agreement on Working Conditions).

Seamounts also said it was impossible to assume the payment of 60 euros for the 2007-2010 Salary Compensation Pact.

This morning has finalized an offer of 30 euros for the year 2010, the deferral of the remaining 30 euros for 2011, and the payment of 30 euros in arrears for 2012.

At today's meeting also undertook to end in December, the regulation of the civil service but postponed to 2012 its economic effects.

The unions have countered that only accept these conditions by including a wage revision clause for implementation from 2011, if implemented in January 2012 wage increases stemming from the review of the administrative career and if they come into force points next January Agreement on Working Conditions, and accepted, although this agreement has not been completed.

The council has explained that it would build in 2012 a huge financial outlay for the council and would not be responsible for the current Corporation assume these commitments could be a mortgage on budgets to be managed in another term.

Seamounts further stated that the Working Conditions Agreement is applicable only when you have finished negotiating document in its entirety.
