More than 1,800 university students applying for UNIBON Region (16/10/2009)

The first UNIBON begin to move and to Cartagena.

The UNIBON is the result of ongoing cooperation framework established between the municipalities of Cartagena and Murcia, and the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Public Transport Authority.

Councilor José Ballesta, stressed that since the different administrations have a responsibility to plan and lay the foundations for a modern public transport, economic, efficient and reliable, so it is necessary to establish new systems of collaboration that contribute to the structuring of an intermodal public transport network based in the ticket only.

With the use of UNIBON university, young people can use public transport to attend both college and their leisure time, contributing to energy savings and reduction of congestion in cities, improving the environment.
