Friday August 14, 2009 - The Barreros host for the eighth consecutive year the VIII National Petanque Tournament Cartagena City held on 15 and 16 August in the bowls club facilities in the neighborhood, with the cooperation of the Department of Sports and Citizen of the City of Cartagena.
The championship will last for 12 hours and players wishing to participate must be in the clubhouse at 18.00 am on Saturday 15 August.
Registration is free and will be offered to all players dinner and breakfast.
This year involved 16 teams, consisting of 3 field players and 1 reserve.
The game system will be based on national regulation bocce and consist of two groups of 8 teams each, and a single meeting, and that score will be: 3 points per game won, 1 tie and 0 points heading losses.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
18.00 hours, filing of records
18.45 hours: drawing of lots
19.25 hours: Presentation of equipment
20.00 hours: Start of game
22.20 hours: Dinner
00.20 hours: restart of play
05.30 hours: chocolate
06.00 hours: Start game
08.00 hours-approx., Awards ceremony and closing ceremony of the tournament
