Cross examines the future of tourism and culture of Cartagena with the mayor and a group of businessmen from the Region (27/07/2009)

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, along with a dozen entrepreneurs Circle of Economy of the Region of Murcia, today discussed the results at the level of tourism and culture by the consortium 'Cartagena Port of Cultures' and tourism conference, while they tried on the future of the windlass archaeological park.

Highlight the good results obtained by the consortium 'Cartagena Puerto de Culturas', which so far this year has reached a figure of 165,000 visitors, 60,000 more than the same period last year.

Also, it was about the politics of cultural events as a major strategic lines of this sector, the investment in the future will involve the enhancement of the archaeological park of the windlass, and the creation of a foundation that manages and engage the forthcoming congress will host the Auditorium and Convention Center of Cartagena, an infrastructure that will put into orbit Cartagena conference tourism.
