End of Music Colonies - Cartagena 2009 (14/07/2009)

Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, chaired this evening the closing ceremony of the 'Cologne Music', held at 18.00 at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy with the staging of a musical dance song in which participants will present the work done during these two weeks in workshops developed.

The aim of these 'colonies Musical', which organizes each year the City of Cartagena, not theoretical, but children begin to enjoy the music, laughing with her, working through the artistic sensibility of classical music, and create a workshop during the holidays that enables the school to develop his musical.

Ultimately that children can participate in a complete and comprehensive music program.

Music and Media team has been responsible for developing the program again, given his proven ability and effectiveness, because it has a highly qualified teacher in Singing, Dance, Music and Theatre.

Musical Colonies were counted with the participation of 150 children, aged 4 to 11 years.

The students were divided into groups of 15, and were rotating in different modules of music, games and musical expression, physical education and recreation, dance and choreography, singing and choral rehearsal.

They have also had the opportunity to participate in a Theatre Workshop voluntarily from 13:00 to 14:00 and also another option from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm

Schools where such programs have been conducted have been the CEIP 'Garden City' and the CEIP 'San Isidro and Santa Florentina' between 1 and July 15 from 9:00 pm to 13:00 pm Monday to Friday .
