La Mar de Músicas particularly Morocco, with 30% more public concerts twice in the street (30/06/2009)

La Mar de Músicas 2009 special Morocco is about to start.

Mayor Pilar Barreiro, with director general of Cultural Promotion of the Autonomous Region, Antonio Martínez, the president of the Foundation Cajamurcia, Jose Moreno, director of marketing for The Truth, José Manuel Jiménez and festival director, Francisco Martín, officially presented this morning in Cartagena this multicultural festival which celebrates its fifteenth year and is becoming one of the most important cultural events in the country.

As indicated by Pilar Barreiro, this year we have sold 30% more tickets than the same time last year, indicating the high quality of poster to be presented.

In addition, it doubles the number of free concerts in the street - a total of 12 in the Town Hall Square - and kept the usual scenarios Torres Park Auditorium, Artillery Park, the Old Cathedral and the Moorish Castle.

Barreiro recalled that the festival starts on Saturday June 4 with the Algerian Khaled in the Auditorio Parque Torres and Sunday 5 to Pablo Milanes, a series of concerts that have already hung the sign no entries.

The Mayor has also indicated that the festival La Mar de Músicas not only musical, but involves important cultural Landing La Mar de Arte, the first of the exhibitions and the gallery opened in Bambara, The Sea Film, with a fifteen movies, and La Mar de Letras, with twenty guest artists.

For his part, Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, highlighted in this festival as one of the largest in the country and an example of intelligent cultural programming strategy, with a tight budget and with a great connection with the city.

Also José Moreno, president of the Foundation CajaMurcia, said the organization's support to this festival that focuses on culture and art by young Moroccan.

In fact, the Cultural Centre in the Square CajaMurcia Icue hosts 10 to July 31 of the exhibitions of the Sea of Art, "Kaleidoscope, history of a collection."

The most intense edition of La Mar de Músicas, defined as its director Paco Martin, will have Africa as a great player and a media representation of Spanish and Moroccan, British and even Finnish.

There shall be twelve live broadcasts from the first weekend on Radio 3, in addition to daily broadcasts on the radio that has been enabled on the official website of The Sea of Music and a major presence in online social networks .

More than half of tickets sold, about 60% have been sold over the Internet, and the rest in person.
