The Department of Sustainable Development of the City of Cartagena, with the Municipal Sports and the neighborhood association of the valley held in the afternoon yesterday, entitled "Sport and Nature", a series of activities for children to commemorate the World Environment Day, celebrated on 5 June.
The activities are conducted within the EcoPark of the trough, with the presence of the Councillor for Sustainable Development, Isaiah Camarzana, and technicians to the Department of Sports.
Among the activities that took place in addition to the irrigation of over a thousand trees planted last year in the environment of the EcoPark, were conducted workshops for the construction of toys with waste material, creating flowers with egg cups and purses with magazines and newspapers, the responsible use of water, saving tips, not to waste, reuse and conserve, and a workshop on the use of containers, with games that will be used balloons simulating different waste containers .
On the other hand, we also prepared a green Gymkhana Ecoparque the environment, with tests and questions about the environment along the route, ending the activities with the Storytellers 'The great forest,' or how children can help maintain nature.
