Among its educational programs, the Department of Education closed the 26th of May at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy the XXI School Theatre Festival, in which 33 participating schools with an attendance of more than 3,000 students between actors and spectators.
The closure included representation from the group contrasts of the Center for Special Education Early Lopez, of the work a life story, with the stalls in full by all groups of pupils and teachers participating in the Exhibition.
Subsequently by the Department of Education paid tribute to the theater three monitors working with the Department in the development of theater workshops for students and implementation of the School Theatre Festival.
And like every year, then the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, accompanied on stage by the Coordinator of Education, Damián Pérez and the Advisory Centre for Language and Communication, Caridad Meroño, were given to all participating school theater groups , and their teachers, several gifts in recognition of his effort and dedication.
In this issue there have been 14 works by 13 theater groups from 12 schools that comprise of 321 players.
Have been staged at the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramón Alonso on 13, 15, 18, 20, 21, 25 and 26 May 2009 in two sessions at 10:00 and 11.30 hours, except on the Closing (May 26) with a single session at 11 am.
These thirteen works have been monitored and adapted in different versions by the three monitors theater, Javier Vilar, José Pedro de Jódar and Salguero, that since the first edition of the Theatre School at work during the course with students and teachers accountable different theatrical techniques.
These works are offered to students in elementary and primary education for all centers that rely on the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena.
