This will set a scene in which the boundaries between disciplines are dissolving and the complexity of the considerations is multiplied, showing how today it requires a rethinking of many assumptions about the text and image.

Conferences Much more in May Festival, entitled "Stress, emotion and magic.

Sensory perception and artistic practice "is of an informative nature and is made with sensory and intellectual resources to serve the interests of an audience restless and curious about the vast field of contemporary art practice.

We have chosen as a connection point tension, emotion and magic as important elements of sensory perception and artistic practice.

Our relationship with the world and the others make it through the senses and at the same time human acts are acts emotional.

Sensory experience, even the seemingly epidermal, can be very deep (Valery) but also unstable (Eva Lootz), and always linked to emotional effects, subject to the possibility of manipulation.

Review from very different perspectives tension between perception and artistic practice in contemporary art is the subject of the cycle this year we have invited many different artists and researchers with whom to share their thoughts and experiences in acts that transcend mere intellectual dimension into the world of feelings and emotions.

On Tuesday, 12 will have Javier Panera, which is a known critic and is the director of DA2 Salamanca, with his lecture "I cry because I feel like it!" Emotions as a weapon of resistance, we will understand the importance of emotion in works of art.

On Wednesday, 13 continuremos with Magomigue and Juan Cabrera, who from an unusual conception of what it means to "conference" will make us question the prestige of art that can not be explained from the conventional theory of art, which should serve to terms such as magic or illusion to explain it better.

We continue on Thursday 14th (20.00 pm Conference Room of the Roman Museum) with Miguel Alvarez, who is a sound artist, musicologist, critic and curator of sound projects of the most important of our country.

And discovery as when the sound is something, there is a conflict between the temporal and spatial and it is precisely this tension that continues to fuel the current practice of sound art.

On Friday 15 we conclude with Miguel Angel Montilla, which is a component of the Theater of the Senses and will explain how sensory theater is a poetic expression involving the senses and emotions of the viewer as the protagonist of a personal experience, unique and unrepeatable.

All lectures of the cycle take place from Monday to Thursday at 20.00 h.

and Friday at 19.00 h.
