The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon and Social Policy Adviser, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, last week visited the facilities of the Disabled Persons' Protection Association of the municipality of Cartagena, better known as Astus, accompanied by the director general of People with Disabilities, María del Socorro Morente.
The visit was a tour of the facilities managed by Astus, nonprofit association member FEAPS (Federation of Organizations for people with intellectual disabilities and cerebral palsy) Region of Murcia, which aims at social integration of people with disabilities in all areas.
The schools visited are the Early Intervention Virgen de la Caridad, the Shelter and Private Workshops Prolam, facilities whose common objectives are the integration, promotion of personal autonomy and job training for disabled people.
