Dances of the crypt, a special visit to the Punic Wall (29/04/2009)

Cartagena Port of Cultures "has created a special visit to the crypt of San Jose, preserved in the Interpretation Center of the Punic Wall, for the weekend of May: Dances From The Crypt.

This is an educational tour that includes the explanation of the 'dance of death' and the particular circumstances presented by the pictorial program stored in the crypt of San Jose.

The dancing skeletons that visitors can see are a unique and exceptional example of a cultural and historical phenomenon that has demonstrations across Europe.

Furthermore, in a setting unmatched as is the crypt, the explanation accompanying music that surrounds the visitor in an intense trip to the Middle Ages and early Renaissance to know the origins, meaning and reflection on music, literature and other arts, an ideology and thoughts expressed at a time.
