The Cartagena IV Short week is a sign that attempts to show the works of filmmakers to create an environment of disclosure and approach to the world of the film.

The character of this sample is not competitive.

All productions will be screened are presented in four sections: open (territory), regional (Murcia), local (Cartagena) and nerdy (which collects themed short films and more original and striking design.)

The films presented had to be made from January 1, 2008, Castilian or subtitled in that language, no more than 20 minutes and presented in digital format.

Selected short films will also receive a financial bonus for their projection of 60 Euros for each film selected.

STOP MOTION

This year the supply of the short week is completed with the holding of a workshop on Stop Motion by Paramotion Films, a company based in Madrid with extensive experience in formation of stop-motion.

The stop-motion animation is a technique from dolls, and in which the footage is shot frame by frame.

In the stop-motion, unlike other techniques, the animator is in physical contact with the characters and the world around them, seeing how all creation comes to life on screen.

The workshop's objective is to acquire all the knowledge to make any kind of audiovisual production.

After the workshop, students will control all aspects from model to animation through scenario building, lighting, film language, etc.

Among all carried a small piece of stop-motion animation where they can put into practice all the knowledge acquired at the workshop.

The deadline for enrollment in the workshop opens on April 1 in the youth resource center.

Mucho Mas Mayo is a unique opportunity where we intended to quote some of the most interesting creative experiences of young artists from Cartagena and outside the city, besides being a space for creation, education, debate, the sample productions ...
