Pablo Cano, Marina Cañizares and Elisa Sandoval, finalists singing in between strings and brass (24/03/2009)

Pablo Cano Rojas, Marina Cañizares Usero Tristan and Elisa Sandoval will be the three finalists in the form of singing contest between strings and brass, 2009, whose hearings are held during these days at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Cartagena.

Monday afternoon, took place six participants in the form of singing and Paul Cano Rojas, baritone; Cañizares Marina Tristan, soprano; David Bathrooms Marín, tenor; Jorge Labrador Garcia, tenor, Maria Luisa Lozano Sanchez soprano, and Elisa Sandoval Usero, could choose from a wide repertoire: opera pieces, lied, oratorio, operetta, classical Spanish songs, old songs "using also Italian, the proper technique of classical singing.

The young performers also had to submit two works of different styles in each of the phases, not to change the original tone of the selected works.

The jury consisted of professionals from different academies and learning centers throughout the region of Murcia, such as: Rosa Martínez Fernández, Encarna Aurora Serna, Matthew Fiorenza Ippolito and Juan Soto Sanchez, decided previously performed on a same day two phases of the competition in this mode.

In the first phase of the work performed could not exceed 10 minutes, and in the second 15 minutes in duration.

The winner will be announced along with the rest of the modalities in the closing ceremony, which will be held on May 8 at the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, where they will be also the distribution of diplomas to all participants who have reached Final.

Today Tuesday, March 24, at 18 pm and held the hearing in the form of Metal, which was attended by fifteen performers.

The rest of the competition auditions are scheduled as follows:

PERCUSSION: Wednesday 25 March at 18:00

ROPE: Thursday 26 March at 18:00

GUITAR: Monday 30 March at 18:00

WOODWIND: Tuesday 31 March, 17:00

PIANO: Friday April 1 at 18:00 h.

As you will remember this contest is organized by the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.

In its twelfth edition, there have been 80 young people pursuing professional studies in music of the instrument with which they compete.
