The Responsible Consumer Conference, organized by the city of Cartagena, started last Monday, arrived yesterday to an end with a closing ceremony with the participation of District Council members responsible for Consumer Affairs, María Dolores García Nieto, Decentralization and Health Nicholas Angel Bernal, and Sustainable Development, Isaiah Camarzana and neighborhood representatives.

García Nieto has been more than satisfied with the development of the conference, which attracted a lot of people have also actively participated and made them even shorter.

Throughout the three days have exceeded expectations for participation in the talks on Monday with the opening even bent and attended by more than 60 people registered but only had 31, and the questions from the audience revolved around two main themes: housing, being the largest fine that we can acquire, and the operation of the Consumer Arbitration Board, an entity of regional character that allows resolving requests from consumers before they reach the courts.

Among other issues, also addressed the Act for Protection of Consumers and Users and the Reform of the Statute of Consumers and Users of the Region of Murcia, and to close, the focus of debate was all related to telecommunications, fixed, mobile and Internet purchases, so fashionable in these times.

In sum, the Conferences have been directed to inform the general public in matters that raise a greater number of complaints and consumer offices by experts in the field.
