Tourism distinguishes the quality of the companies in Cartagena (17/02/2009)

The director general of Tourism, Angel Campos, chaired today next to the Councillor of Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero, the act of delivery of certificates of recognition to the Commitment to Quality Improvement in Spanish Tourism Destinations, which 51 distinguished companies in the city, including shops, information centers, guidebooks, tourist transportation, taxis, corporate sports and entertainment, and security services.

He also requested evidence to stakeholders its commitment to develop criteria and standards, "an effort that has led to Cartagena for president of the National Committee Interdestination, while the municipality has become more Spanish with certified beaches with the Q for Quality, 10 in number. "

According to the general director of Advocacy, "this is the only possible way to differentiate our products and the loyalty of our customers."

The Integrated System of Spanish Tourism Quality (SICTED) is a program that promotes a region as a whole and that is objects that tourists perceive a level of quality consistent in the various components of tourism in the same.

Currently, the Region of Murcia has 9 SICTED projects in operation, respectively, include Aguilas, Cartagena, Lorca, Mar Menor, Northwest, Northeast, Sierra Espuña, Valle de Ricote and Murcia.

In the Autonomous Region there are 253 companies with a Commitment to Quality Tourism and 370 companies are in the process of doing.
