The general director of Books, Archives and Libraries, Francisco Giménez, this morning presented the exhibition of Jean Dieuzaide 'photos of the Region of Murcia, 1951'. Which opens this afternoon at the Palace Molina de Cartagena at 20:00 .
The presentation was also attended by the director of Cehiform, Fernando Vazquez, the coordinator of Culture of the City of Cartagena, Isidro Perez, and Michaele Dieuzaide, son of photographer
The exhibition organized by the Center for Photographic History of the Region of Murcia (Cehiform), comprises a total of 51 shots that the French photographer made in the Fifties, "a portrait by Murcia society of the time in which we observe realities missing or forgotten in time, "Gimenez said.
"Dieuzaide is one of the great humanist world-renowned photographers and their work in relation with the region, revealed by the analysis of the conditions of human beings and their environment," he said of the exhibition, the general director, who announced that, after passing and Cartagena, the exhibit will be held in the Regional Archive in September 2009, expanding to 26 photographs from the personal file of Jean Dieuzaide.
Some of these photographs are portraits of Picasso, Dalí and General de Gaulle.
All these images are part of a book published by Three Frontiers from the collection 'Photo-graphy' which, under the name of 'Perspectives', "recovering the works of authors who somehow part of our visual heritage," said Cehiform director.
The photographs contained in this book about the region offer a visual tour of different locations such as Lorca, Cartagena, Murcia collects essences of the earth.
The recovered Cehiform and images to complete the regional artistic heritage.
The exhibition will be at Palacio Molina de Cartagena until next January 9, 2009.
