Rain forces two days longer visits Windlass Hill. (25/09/2008)

The rainfall recorded since yesterday and during the day today, has forced the Department of Culture to suspend several scheduled visits to the archaeological site of Cerro del Pinwheel.

For this reason and to give the opportunity for people who had booked the tour without success, the council has decided to extend two days of open houses.

It was originally scheduled to end Thursday, but eventually there will be visits on Monday and Tuesday, 29th and 30th September respectively.

It will be recalled on an exceptional archaeological site opened to the public on Friday, September 19, coinciding with the start of Carthaginians and Romans.

The tours are guided and take place in groups of 25 people by reservation on the phone 968 50 00 93.

The schedules are:

Morning: 10.30 hours, 11.30 hours and 12.30 hours

Afternoon: 16.30 hours, 17.30 hours and 18.30 hours

Since its opening, several hundred people have toured the site and checked the progress of the work undertaken by the Autonomous Region and City Council for their recovery and value.
