The Department of Women of the City of Cartagena starts, the month of October, the first workshops and courses that form part of the wide range of training for the year 2008-2009.

As in previous years, this offer includes craft workshops such as glass, bobbin, the paint, the upholstery and restoration (in its modes of initiation, progress and major) and for self-defense courses and computer high demand among women as well as numerous cultural activities (travel, literary events, plays ...).

Registration for courses and workshops that start between the months of October and December will be 22 September to 8 October, while the deadline for registration for courses that start between January and April will be from 1 to December 12 .

In addition to these courses, taught others referred to Christmas ornaments, rustic and pinned flowers, laughter therapy, living arrangements and accounting.

Men also have their space in this program to the Department of Women, with courses in cooking and domestic skills.

And there are also two mobile workshops, training to reach all corners of the municipality.

Be the tortoise, which will go to the Trinity Association and Cultural Association of the Aljorra, and the computer, will travel to associations of Vista Alegre, Ensanche almarjal and Vertex.

Also like other years, the commemoration of International Day Against Gender Violence (November 25), the United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace (March 8) and Fair Women's Associations, in May, will have a special role in this schedule.

The official presentation of the academic year 2008-2009 to the Department of Women will be October 6 at the Mill restaurant Marfagones Piemonte, from 16.30 hours.
