The beaches of the Mar Menor in the municipality of Cartagena are cleaned every day, as confirmed by the Director General of the Coast, Gabriel Ruiz.
A total of 30 people and two cleaning machines operate every day from Mar de Cristal to Los Urrutias to maintain good beaches and promenades of the coastal strip.
It has also opened an office of the Municipal Institute in Los Nietos to address much more directly to citizens and respond to incidents that occur.
Gabriel Ruiz has stated that the waters of the Mar Menor beaches have been analyzed in a program of the Ministry of Environment called 'NAIAD' with a favorable outcome.
Specifically, Los Urrutias analysis were carried out 4 different points that determine a good quality of water.
The Director General of the coast has expressed its full readiness to inform the municipal activities in the Mar Menor from whom it requires, above all, to avoid hasty assessments that can damage the tourist image of the municipality.
