The councilman of Deportes of the City of Cartagena, Alonso Gómez López, held this morning a meeting with Marta Lidia cartagenera Bath swimmer, who was accompanied by his coach Chisco and President of the Swimming Federation of Murcia, Francisco Dominguez.
The reason for the visit is the future participation of Lydia in the Paralympics in Beijing with the Spanish National Blind and Handicapped, particularly in the 400-meter freestyle and 200 medley, which will take place after the Olympics.
This will be the second time the Cartagena go to the Games, having participated for 4 years getting two degrees in Athens Paralympics.
Councillor for Sports has delivered the swimmer of a flag of Cartagena, to show support of the city and give encouragement to her upcoming participation in the Games.
