The folk group 'City of Cartagena' of La Palma will be the ambassador of the folklore of the peninsula with the occasion of the International Folklore Festival of Arrecife, on Lanzarote.
The group will be received by the city of Arrecife on 31 July and subsequent days (until Monday, August 4) will be a conference on knowledge of the folklore of Cartagena, as well as two performances in the capital of Lanzarote in conjunction with Palestinian groups, Serbia, Senegal and several groups of the Canary Islands.
For this occasion will travel to the islands about forty people, who are responsible for publicizing the sounds of Cartagena land and rich heritage of costumes, dating from the late eighteenth century.
In addition also will participate in the events of 50 years the group Reef.
