The Governing Board approved the fourth and final extension of Polygon Cabezo Beaza (18/07/2008)

Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, initially approved the Plan that develops the fourth and final phase of expansion of the Industrial Cabezo Beaza, thus closing the perimeter of the industrial area around the mound feature which gives its name.

This extension covers an area of about 587,000 meters squared, of which 247,000 will be occupied by plots and industrial buildings north of the Mediterranean Area.

The plan is promoted by the current owners of the land, SL Prosser and Murcia Business Development and Management Services SL Consort

Thus, more than 20 years after the start of the first phase development of the test site at the edge of the road Torreciega La Aparecida, will culminate its urbanization process.

As you may recall he has had a place in the small and medium industries in the city.

His first two phases, in the mid 80's and early 90's, were promoted SEPES.

The third, which gave rise to the big commercial Mediterranean Park, was promoted in early 2000 by private initiative, as this fourth and final phase.

APPLICATION OF THE SECTION OF HIGHWAY ENTRY CARTAGENA

Another outstanding issues, of which has informed the deputy spokesman of the government team, José Vicente Albaladejo, at the press conference following the meeting, was the request to the Ministry of Development to which is transferred to the municipality 1.3 km of the existing dual carriageway into the city.

This is the section that runs from the Plaza de Alicante to the link to access the port.

The reason for this request is the urban development of the new extension in the Hondón, which includes the undergrounding of the railway line and the consequent disappearance of the elevated section of highway.

The City Council shall assume, once the development project to develop this section to be diverted, extending the current route of the walk of Alfonso XIII and become a major thoroughfare that will connect with a roundabout in the vicinity of the current Security Park, where it will connect with the highway and port access.

SUPPLY NETWORK FOR Mojon and El Limon

Finally, and among other matters under Town Planning, the Board of Governors approved the proposed renewal of the water supply network in the urbanization of El Mojon and lemon, in Isla Plana.

This project has a budget of 551,000 euros and will be executed by the promoter of this development, according to the pledge it made at the time.

The renewal of the water supply system is necessary due to recent constructions that have occurred in the area and the considerable population increase was recorded especially in summer.
