A workshop ADLE rehabilitate the Arab House of Sorrows (07/07/2008)

Local Development Agency and Employment of the City of Cartagena (ALDE) will launch the restoration work of the Casa Arabe de los Dolores, and for that we will proceed to the selection of a team formed by a masonry monitor and eight laborer to be hired for work or service to perform various tasks of demolition, cleaning and packaging of the parcel outside the house

The project start date is scheduled for July 21 and lasting approximately five months

Arab House is a ground floor apartment located in the streets PAIN Rio Genil and Gardens, in good condition in terms of structural elements but their abandonment is very poor carpentry, the facade, the exterior wall and also inside

This project aims to rehabilitate this building, respecting its decorative style of Arabic type, to Logar to re-look with the splendor that was being original.

Once restored, will go to the location of municipal buildings in the area.

To carry out this project with a cash prize of 60,000 euros fully furnished by the Agency of Local Development and Employment.

On this same project has been requested from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports grant (amounting to 50,000 euros) for investments in real estate members of the cultural heritage of ethnographic in the Region of Murcia

The tasks will be developed initially be, different works of demolition and refurbishment of the exterior of the building plot, work estimated to take about five months ago.

The workshop will feature a masonry expert monitor, responsible for training the eight student-workers and will monitor the rehabilitation work.
