Unlocking the proposed underground train on his arrival in Cartagena (25/06/2008)

The proposed line underground train to the future station of Cartagena has been unlocked in a meeting that was held this afternoon in Madrid and have participated in the various administrations involved.

Attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Agustín Guillén, the Town Planning, Joaquín Segado, the secretary general of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, José María Bernabé, managing director of Transportation and Highways in the Region of Murcia, Carmen Maria Sandoval The director general of the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF) Antonio dug, the director general of railways, Luis Santiago, the director general of Cartagena High Speed SA, Juan Esteban Sanchez Blanco, and advisor to the Secretary of State for Planning Ministry of Development, Juan Vicente Martínez.

The meeting highlighted the willingness of all parties to take this project forward, pending on resolving some of the technical issues relating to the depth of burial and diversion of some services, are expected to be dissipated in a highly technical meeting to be held next week in Madrid.

Overcome this obstacle, the project could soon follow the administrative process, whose next step will be to public exposure.
