The Directorate General of the Book of the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the Culture Department of the City of Cartagena, has held today the distribution of three thousand paperback books at various points the city, as is the case of bus stops Paseo Alfonso XIII, railway stations and LVEF or the bus station.
This initiative is framed in the campaign to encourage reading, under the title 'The book on wheels', has organized the Department of Books with a first printing related to transportation.
The main objective of the campaign is to encourage reading, encouraging the citizens to close the book, removing it from the bookstores and libraries to bring it to the more common use of citizens as well as promote new writers projection.
Although it is a first edition, this action has a clear intention of continuing as it plans to issue a new series of books will be distributed in places of entertainment.
