Murcia Greco-Roman wrestling won twice in the Championship of Spain Olympic Wrestling School held last Saturday in Cartagena, to proclaim national runner-up teams and regions.

About three hundred fighters of the seventeen Spanish regions participated in the three Olympic disciplines of the competition (free Olympic Greco-Roman and women), some of which could participate in future Mediterranean Games for those who want to compete to host Cartagena.

The event was attended by the chief executive of the Federation of Spanish control, Angel Lopez Rojo, and the councilman of Sports City of Cartagena, Alonso Gómez, José María López with Gullón, president of the Federation of Murcia territorial struggles Olympic and related disciplines.

Andalusia was proclaimed the champion in all three modes, followed by Murcia in Greco-Roman Olympic Basque Country and Navarra in the female.

At the individual level, we must highlight the action in the form of wrestling and their respective weights of the fighters Miguel Serrano, Sergio Marin, Carlos López, Francisco José Abellán and Tamara Collins, bronze medals, and Francisco and Ramon Lopez with silver medals.

The competition took place at the Pavilion on three tapestries, in which two unarmed athletes trying to make the hand touch the back on the floor, being forbidden to do harm.
