Carmen Gil was born in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) in 1962.

It takes many years dedicated to teaching, currently teaching high school in Aracena, and writing for children.

His book "Daniel's smile ', published by Kalandraka, with illustrations by the artist Rebecca Luciani Argentina, has been listed as' The White Ravens 2008' which is recognized as one of the best children's books published in Spain during the past year.

In this selection, made by the International Youth Library, headquartered in Munich (Germany), contained 250 children's books in 30 languages from 50 countries.

This work will be included in the catalog in English that will prepare the International Youth Library for dissemination to organizations specializing in children's literature from around the world.

Gil is also the founder of children's poetry magazine 'Cosic' for all Spanish-speaking countries.

His plays have been staged in many Spanish cities and in several Latin American countries.

It has also made puppets, storytelling, dance workshops in the world and even some magic.

But he likes to play with words.

In addition, he teaches poetry, talks about encouraging reading for parents and teachers and poetry for schools and libraries.

He has published 50 books and 10 in the editing process.

Carmen Gil-Bonachera was born in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz-Spain) in 1962, although he lives in the town of Aracena Huelva Institute where she teaches.
