The municipal land Marchamalo environment 'are not for sale' (23/04/2008)

The Deputy Mayor of the City of Cartagena, Agustín Guillén, has settled the issue by purchasing land in the Salinas Municipal Marchamalo by the Southeastern Association of Naturalists (ANSE), ensuring that local government does not sell or heritage areas protected, but is responsible for its conservation, so if ANSE want to buy, so be it individuals who have land in the vicinity of Salinas, the municipal land and its protection is handled by the City Council.

As for the possibility of a transfer of land use, Agustín Guillén said that is an issue not been raised, although such initiatives have been undertaken previously, such as municipal nursery.

ANSE offering was to carry out the purchase of three acres of municipal property for 30,000 euros, to carry out environmental restoration projects in the area.
