Weight in the City by the death of Antonio Madrigal Gutiérrez, Adopted Son of Cartagena (25/04/2008)

The mayor and the municipal corporation of Cartagena have expressed regret and sorrow at the death Friday at age 88 years, Antonio Madrigal Gutiérrez, Adopted Son of Cartagena, and a person very close to the sport of the City.

Antonio Madrigal Gutiérrez, was born in Seville in 1919 and came to Cartagena for by his military career and where it has remained virtually ever since, holding various positions in the Levant Third Marine and Seamen Training Barracks.

Since 1963 he was assistant general staff of eight captains of the Mediterranean area, until in 1984 he retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Marines.
