The women, solidarity march (27/05/2008)

Councillor for Women, Rosario Montero, presented the conclusion of Marchamujer 2008, an activity that takes place on Thursday, May 29th, the culmination of the actions that have taken place since the City Council with women's associations Cartagena and the surrounding area along the present course.

According to Rosario Montero, the purpose of this meeting is to encourage sports - 'who moves corazón' move the legs, and, in turn, collaborate with an NGO, in this case the Multiple Sclerosis Association, and that money proceeds with the inscriptions, the symbolic price of 1 euro, will go to that organization.

The tour will begin with a rally in the Plaza of Spain at 10.00 am, to continue along the Alameda de San Antón, Sebastian Street Feringa Tentegorra road, ending at Park Rafael de la Cerda to a coexistence where number of activities and a raffle, with the return by bus from 18.00 hours heading back to the Plaza of Spain.

Registration can be done in the Department of Women, the Multiple Sclerosis Association and the square of Spain at the time of departure.

A LITTLE KNOWN DISEASE

The president of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Cartagena and the region, Pedro Sanchez, believes this is a disease about which little is known, so from this non-profit association, which has been operating for fifteen years, what aim is to try to get resources to get and give as much information as possible to those affected by it.
