The Local Government of Cartagena, gathered this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has approved the project of refurbishing schools Santa Florentina de La Palma, Mediterranean and La Manga Tentegorra Virgen de Begoņa in a proposal the Councillor for Education Josefa Maroto.
The total amount of the three plays over a million euros and will have a lead time of two months.
As he explained the government team spokesman, Joaquin Segado, at the hearing after the meeting, they are the major works to be undertaken over the summer in the agreement signed by the Ministry of Education.
The remaining works, amounting to some 500,000 euros will include minor repairs to other schools in the municipality.
In the case of Santa Florentina Colegio de La Palma, the works consist of the construction of a primary module and a toilet.
Its procurement budget is 512,000 euros.
In the Mediterranean, La Manga, with a budget of 340,000 euros, three modules will be built nursery and washrooms.
Finally at the Virgen de Begoņa in Tentegorra, will build a dining room, with a budget of 182,000 euros.
Mowing has said the tight deadlines for implementing these works, which have to be undertaken during the holidays, and may not be fully completed before 1 September.
