The Local Government Committee today approved outside the agenda, the assignment by society Podecasa of a parcel of 20,000 square meters to the City for the construction of the School of Nursing, Cartagena, plot is located next to General Hospital, which is already at an advanced stage of construction.
The Board has also been informed of the acceptance of a grant of € 75,000 granted by the Ministry of Health, on a total cost of 140,000 euros, to undertake the cleaning of the municipal offices.
The councilman of Health, Nicolás Ángel Bernal, claimed that this measure is intended to relieve this obligation to the neighborhood associations, which obtained so far were responsible for this action following a tradition that dates back to when doctors tended to neighbors of peoples from their own homes.
This system, already outdated, is what has been now replaced by the council, which hired a company to be responsible for cleaning.
Furthermore, the Council also received a grant of 70,000 euros from the Ministry to carry out reforms in the office of Cuesta Blanca, part of the health center Marfagones Mills, and will complete the total renovation inside.
The work amounts to a total of 100,000 euros and includes a general medicine clinic, a pediatric practice, another nurse and a waiting room.
