Adding to the initiative of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has convened this morning at the Municipal Corporation, municipal public employees, neighbors, organizations and institutions of the city at a concentration five-minute silent at the gates of the Town Hall at 12 noon.
This concentration occurs as a silent rebuff the attack shows that in the early morning, Legutiano killed in the Civil Guard Juan Manuel Piñuel Villalon and injuring four others.
After five minutes of silence, the mayor stressed that this act shows the solidarity and understanding of all the people of Cartagena to the pain of the family of the deceased policeman.
YOUTH COUNCIL
The Youth Council of Cartagena has wanted to join the voice of protest from all democratic forces and express more revulsion and condemnation over the attack by ETA.
Since the Council has shown the sadness and anger caused by this new death and pointed out that all social and democratic forces have a duty to speak out and stand united against those who claim "rights" without any respect for the law most fundamental of all human beings: the right to life.
