The aquatic art is disclosed in ARQUA (30/11/2015)

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor to attend the opening of the exhibition of aquaculture to the public about the importance of this sector in Spain |

The National Museum of Underwater Archaeology hosts f rom 1 December until next July 31, 2016 a tour of the reality and prospects of aquaculture in our country.

Various panels on the species and crops, the development of aquaculture, the state of the sector worldwide, consumption and marketing of aquatic species and the differences between marine and continental aquaculture, among others, are the issues that will guide visitors along the museum.

And for the first time it will be visible in the ARQUA three aquariums installed in the exhibition, both saltwater and freshwater, with different types of fish such as trout, eel and sturgeon.

The Secretary General of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Andrés Hermida, has been commissioned to inaugurate this exhibition presented under the title of ¿Aquaculture?

Discover it, driven by the Biodiversity Foundation.

We have accompanied the government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Sanchez-Solis;

the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez;

Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, and the Councillor for Agriculture and Fisheries, Obdulia Gomez.

The exhibition aims to draw attention to the role of aquaculture as a sources of wealth, employment and welfare for society, while contributing to a balanced and healthy diet.

Since it was launched this itinerant work in 2010, I have visited more than a million people in a total of seven different cities.

Gives AQUACULTURE

Hermida has stressed that this opening of the exhibition is part of the celebrations of the fourth edition of the Day of Aquaculture of our country, which is held every November 30th.

During these days are being held under the coordination of the Biodiversity Foundation, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, more than thirty activities among which are open days at research centers, informative talks, tastings acuículas products doors or activities for children.
