IX Cartagena Trail tour the surroundings of western municipality (26/11/2015)

Sports Councilman, Ricardo Mowing, this morning the IX Cartagena Trail running trails organized by the Cartagena Hiking Centre in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, to be held on Sunday November 29th.

The presentation ceremony of the event, held in the Campus of the UCAM Cartagena, also attended by the president of the Mountaineering Center Cartagena, Salvador English, General Director of Sports of the UCAM, Paul Rosique, and the organizer of the race, Antonio Egea.

Mowing has explained that this new edition will consist of two tests: a 43 kilometers and 15 kilometers other promotional, with 2,400 and 800 meters positive slope respectively.

In both corridors limit has been established in 200 due to passing through protected areas.

The first race will start at 8 am from La Azohía, covering the 43 kilometers corresponding to reach the goal set in Canteras.

For its part, the second race will start at 9 am from Canteras, where the goal will also be installed.

The ninth edition of LA Trail¿ Cartagena will be the last race of the season in the Regional League Mountain Races.

It will pass through the magnificent natural environment of the Sierra de la Muela, Cape Tiñoso and Roldan.

In this regard, Segado stressed that this test is a great advertising for our lesser known landscapes.

The City of Cartagena provides collaborative test security through the Local Police and Civil Protection as well as the technical infrastructure by the Department of Sports.

In addition, one hundred volunteers Hiking Centre and the UCAM ensure the smooth running of a race, which will have five refreshment points
